For nearly two decades the DAMA Collaboration has been observing a modulating signal compatible with that expected from dark matter presence in our galaxy. However, interpretations of this standard assumptions for particles are strongly ruled out by large number other experiments. This tension can be relaxed somewhat making more tailored choices model and properties interest, but expanding models interest such way makes it impossible to test modulation conclusively. In order understand exact nature signal, we need use detector based on same target (NaI(Tl)), which would sensitive exactly particle interaction as DAMA. There experiments data taking or commissioning stages designed do just this, (ANAIS COSINE) recently released their results after 3 years taking.
